Hey guys,
It’s been months since I posted any of my work here so this is a recap of some of the things I’ve done in recent times for my ongoing personal project, The Race for the Globe. Hope you guys like:
Please continue to be oh-so awesome, my fellow primates!
Cheers,
Nick.

Awesome concepts. Thanks for sharing. ;)
Great designs, awesome job mate.
You’re a machine! Awesome stuff! I want a movie out of this! <3
Fantastic !! Really like all your artworks here !
Nick, you’re fucking amazing.
So good!
It’s incredibly inspiring and humbling to see you relentlessly building your own world, bit by bit.
Can’t wait to see more of this!
Thanks for all the kind words, guys! It means such a lot coming from such a talented bunch of artists like yourselves!
Illustration: Cheers!
Paolo Puggioni: Thanks muchly!
clo: Thanks Clo! A movie? You and me both!
nicolab: Thanks!
Kan: Awww. That’s very kind (and a pretty overboard) of you to say! I still feel like I’m so far short of the work I want to be producing a lot of the time, but I’m glad that it strikes a chord with great artists such as yourself. Thanks man.
Ryan Lovelock: Thanks very much! I would recommend having an ongoing personal project to any artist out there. It’s definitely kept me committed to doing art outside of the day job and has pushed me to try things that I would have been tentative to do otherwise.
Whoa, Nick! Amazing work, man…I LOVE this project! Keep up the good work!
please tell me this is going to be a comic….
Nigel Quarless: Thanks a bunch! I’ll keep chipping away at it!
Nic Klein: I wish! I don’t think I have the drawing chops for a comic; I’m approaching this more as a visual development project for a movie that doesn’t exist (outside of my head!). I want to turn it into an art book in the near future. I do hope to storyboard out some action sequences as part of it though. Cheers!
Love that scope on the rifle ahah.
These are fantastic, I love the aesthetic you have going, sort of Steampunk meets early-20th cent. American military. Can’t wait to see what you end up doing with the project
Oyo: Cheers dude! I love the old concertina cameras and I wanted an excuse to use that design element!
Sergio Lopez: Thanks man! Yeah, I love Victorian/Industrial Revolution design, but I feel like steampunk often goes a bit overboard with too much superfluous detail. I’m trying to stick just with strong silhouette plus functional details as much as possible. I feel like any details I add should support the underlying purpose of something, rather than just being decoration.
luv u make stuffs. always watching.
yikes.
Cheers Tony! Can you post some more work for me to gawk at please? Kthxbye!!!
