I’m not one to critique better artists than myself, but the far left claw on his left hand should be longer than the middle claw, in accordance with the claws on his right hand. Great piece though, I’m a big fan of your other gorilla arts.
You should go full extension since you’re in Photoshopland by this point. I really like how you did his hair. That would have been nerve-racking for me
Passive or not, the curvature of the claws should match his knuckles. Especially with his middle finger there, it looks like his hand could be turned at an impossible angle.

Thanks! I am considering fully extending all claws, or adding motion lines to show they are mid-extending.

Fucking awesome. I prefer the claws a bit retracted, since the arm is passive it makes sense to me. Sorry to throw a spanner in the works.
I think I’ll just keep painting and see what happens…. (grin)
