Been really appreciating the works of tom scholes, tom pringle, levi hopkins, the arena net guys and a couple of others. These next couple represent my efforts to learn and attempt some of the techniques I think they are using. Of course, they are all mega-giants……so, I prolly have no idea the heights of genius they scaling around, haha.
here they are. I had a ton of fun doing them and hope to absorb some of the learnings permanently.

Well they seem pretty awesome to me:)
Did you use mixer brushes?
Thanks a lot man, I did not use mixer brushes, but I watched some demos, and now I will use them from now on. Haha! Super big thanks for even letting me know they exist.
I should also give you a super-super big thanks for your tumblr blog recommendations, I immediately went and set up one of those after seeing how nice yours looked. I also got that wicked nice Narnia theme.
very nice and straight forward.
Thanks for replying, it set a bunch of things in motion for me today.

Nice nice stuff man ! I’m not worthy !!!
Oh yeah? if you’re not worthy, then why am I biting on your skeeze?
ahah!
As a kid once said in a commercial in the eighties, “I learned it by watching you.”
it is the oppidium stuff that really made me want to start using more limited gamut color schemes… and interesting color choices.
thx for the inspiration.

You nailed these! I agree, Thomas Scholes is a megalithic superstar. Would love to know more about your approach on these, Coda. Especially this elusive mixer brush.
Explained…sort of, in the other comment you left on my latest posting. Thanks for looking, I am glad you like!
