Polaroid

by Julien Alday | December 24th, 2009

I thought it was time to give the photography category some love. So here’s a quick selection of some Polaroid shots I made between France and California this year. All shots were done with a Polaroid SE Mamiya Press and using 669 type 100 expired films. Exception made from the one called “Desolation”, it was a Chocolate type 100 expired film. Click the shots for see some of them bigger, and enjoy ! ;)

I want use this opportunity to wish you, Ladies and Gentlemen, a merry Christmas.

Et paix sur terre aux hommes de bonne volonté !

Love,

J.

Dirty Bonus [Jambi]

by Julien Alday | September 20th, 2009

Hello, gang !

I’m currently working on painting some buildings before add into it some San Fransisco’s shots I made a year ago. Ho, that and work on some theatre poster, specially on font. You will understand I am not able to post a dirty sunday special…

That said, I still have a few chicks I painted for my erotic comic pages [see last week post]. They don’t appear that way in the panels, so that’s the opportunity for me to show you the full pictures [plus a lil' Tool lyrics in it] ! ^^

Enjoy !

I consider second one as a prototype for further investigation, in case I will have to do some trade in the near future… That’s for you, Dave ! ;)

Love on you gang,

and go back to work ! ^^;

À Une Inhumaine…

by Julien Alday | September 13th, 2009

Bonjour, mes amis !
First, I hope you’ll have a nice Dirty Sunday ! :D
Here’s my contribution…

I have been contacted by Petit à Petit publishing, for participate on their upcoming French comic book erotic anthology. Roughly, I had to pick a poem from a list and make a sequential of it, four pages, no moren no less. My choice was limited by the fact I was hired at the last minute, and most of the cool erotic poems where allready selected.

Hopefully, nobodies picked “À Une Inhumaine” yet, a poem by Henri Cantel.

So here’s an earlier step of pages one and three. That’s all I allow myself to show you, for not spoil the French readers before it gets published. I’m actually finishing the last page, then it will be time to make tiny adjustements on the drawings and add little corrections on the font, wich might be removed by the publisher… so what you see might be print in a very different version. Clic it for see it bigger and enjoy.

A special thanks to Nénent and Clo, you guys know why. ^^

And a very very special thanks to Dave Palumbo, who convinced me to post the naked girls I made a few months ago, while I thought I should keep it for me. That’s how I get hired since.

So in a way, nothing will be possible without Dave’s sense of persuasion. Merci, Dave ! ^^

Stay Dirty, my friends. ^^;

Their Game [Not So Dirty]

by Julien Alday | September 6th, 2009

Hello, folks !

Here’s another sample from the project I’m currently working on [see my previous Dirty Sunday post]. I think I will have to wait something like a good week or two before tell you more about it. That said, here’s a few hint: that’s for a sequential, it’s an adaptation from a erotic poem, written by a young prodigy [1]. My goal was to find something that fits to the rythm of the text and to find a story to tell underneath it, or it will be way too obvious. Photography [and nude art, obviously] plus a lil’ fantasy mood appears to be the best solution for that project. ^^

So, yeah, this WIP is not THAT dirty. But don’t worry, I will do worst another time.

Happy Dirty Sunday !

Love.

[1] No, wait, he’s dead since a few decades now, my bad ! :P

dirty-sunday-30-08-09

This is in fact two elements from the project I’m working on actually, I will tell you more about it in the near future. Mixed media as usual: Acrylic, Japanese Dot Screen and Mac. Photos were used as ref’ but were not include in the final picture this time. Also, I don’t want to shock my good friend Dave Palumbo, raising the bar of dirtyness too high this time. :P I will do worst another day.

Stay Dirty my friends. ^^

Wash Me, I’M Dirty !!! [On Sunday Only]

by Julien Alday | August 23rd, 2009

Hi Gang !

Today is dirty sunday celebration. Don’t ask me what it means: I’m too innocent, too cute, too French for understand it.

It’s like “the walk of shame”, something so much american than I needed to be teach about that expression, a year ago, in the bay area [don't ask me how].

dirtysunday

Here’s an oldie, a very quick test made for a french publisher a year ago, for an erotic short stories anthology.

You know my style: this is mixed-media.

Have a nice dirty sunday ! ;)

William Gibson

Here’s my contribution to Steven Gettis’ collection, where you’ll see tons of good pictures, and there’s a few GAers there [Hi Nic, hello Francis]. The McKean art makes me jaleous everytime, haha ! Topic is about draw your favourite author/novel character and obviously, first sentence of Neuromancer start to play in loop in my head, like a mantra. ” The sky above the port was the color of television, tuned to a dead channel.” Could it be a better opening line for a Sci-fi book ? ;)

Special thanks to Dave, Nic, Nénent and Véro.

And bravo to you guys, I always take a look at that blog and there’s really killer stuff here.

Peace,

Julien

by Julien Alday | March 13th, 2009

Hi gang ! ^^

Great updates here lately [seems always the case on that blog, in anycase]. Didn’t post here in ages, sorry ! I have to hold a couple of NDA stuff before put a proper post on these boards. So here some personal studies, made on my free time. Testing my new scanner and a couple of variations on my good ol’ method. Ho, and draw girlsss ! Obviously, this note is dedicated to Dave Palumbo…  just because he paint great ladies [and better than I can].:P
