After 2 months solid oil painting, I decided to slide over into gouache, and that shit is awesome- gotta love no brush strokes!! here’s a couple of bits- some a little finicky, some ok, painting text always kicks my ass, always great fun though!

had a tiny bit of downtime today, so squeezed out a very speedy ref-less landscape, not great, but great fun, and that was the point of it really!

here are some new bits and bobs- victorian circus performer studies for new personal comic thing, silly hulk doodle, frankenstein illo, and a pretty shoddy raspy ol self portrait- need new brushes.

had some time to get inky this week- Always had trouble translating my line drawings much further without them getting a little stale, this was the most fun ive had- some so so, some ok- long inky road ahead. Thrown in a new moor painting too

had a bit of downtime today, decided to look out my window and do some paintin, fast and buttery.

Here is a new batch of pots from I have been working on with Art Potter Kevin Walker (www.fortcustardpottery.co.uk) - I managed to get over to his studio and be more involved in the throwing process this time which was amazing- I went mad with handles, as you will see.

The Medusa & Serpent pots were Kevin’s handywork, I decorated the others- Also thrown in my newest unfired handled blue bird monster too

I love working  with pottery, although not without its perils- the orchid with knights pot took around 16 hours and then cracked before it got into the kiln- so its staying with me, which i dont really mind. I am struggling to want to sell any, but like rearing turkeys for Christmas, I suppose they have to all go sometime.

I posted a little while ago with some vases I had decorated, which were thrown by my father (www.fortcustardpottery.co.uk)- They have now been fired and finished, and here they are, along with a new piece I have just finished decorating, which is ready for biscuit, glazing and firing too.

It’s a fascinating way to work, and compositionally strange due to the nature of decorating a cylindrical object which in essence has a front and back which are still both connected.
