Hi guys,
Quite humbling, this blog. Cos Koniotis helped me a lot with these pieces, giving valuable feedback that I could never think of.

Some of the stuff I did recently for fun.
This was done from a thumbnail that I decided to flesh out. Notice how much flatter the final version is.

2. A cause of distress or anxiety.

This was done as a Painter tutorial for Imagine FX issue #68:

I was asked a few times about how I used the smudge tool on this image. Actually, this was all done with Painter’s Oils, which smudge the paint as you move it across the canvas.
Here are the steps backwards, showing the process.
Thanks for watching,

Long time no post from me here. This is for this week’s “Character of the week” contest on conceptart.org. The subject is “Bogeyman” and I thought of a nasty, small monster who hides under the bed and hangs around with the crows..
Painting part done in Painter, graphic design done in Photoshop.

Hi fellaz,
I haven’t put anything in here in a while, so I guess it’s about time to spoil this great blog with my crap.
The first one is the cover for a sci-fi novel by wonderful author Marie Brunel, who gave me all the creative freedom to make this piece. It was huge fun!
The others are monsters made for NCsoft. Notice how the green one looks very retro? That was my goal, to create a monster from the 50’s horror movies. Also, great fun!
Hope you guys like it,
Khan
