did this awhile back but I kinda forgot I wanted to post it. Back at San Diego Comic Con, some friends were sitting around at the hotel bar doodling. Scott Brundage did a little drawing of a rampaging ape and was nice enough to give it to me. Well, I was feeling silly one night and decided to color it in, and so here’s what turned out:

I meant to give this to you at Illuxcon, Scott, but you didn’t show up so I’ve just been hanging on to it. Next time :)

Here’s a little something before 2010 rolls in. I wouldn’t exactly call this a “personal piece” -just a little something I would do on work breaks. It started off as a creature and just kept expanding. There weren’t any sketches or thumbnails - just kind of playing. I’m not sure if I am going to keep working on it, but if you see anything that could help the piece I’d love to hear it! Happy New Year -scott

Hey everyone! Hope you guys had a great holiday season and got everything you wanted! Such stunning work all around. It reminds me to be thankful for being able to take part on this blog, along with such talents as you lot. Thanks ‘Rillas!!

This is a recent piece that finally dropped, from Wizards of the Coast.

Thought it might also interest a few if I showed some of the original ideas for this piece before it went to the final one shown. Believe me I know all that is so glaringly and obviously off about said piece, but I have learned that more often than not, deadlines are quick, and all too often I am left with “Just ship it!”. So perhaps in time I will get those rare moments of fixing and tweaking on this one, but for now you can at least see it in both early and finished-for-now state. Shameful I know. Do you forgive me?

Here is something I played with last night. No reference, as the wonky anatomy shows but I enjoyed painting it.

It made me realise a new path for next year, going to be interesting pursuing that.
