SELECTED EARLY CALIFORNIA PAINTINGS
Though I’m not listed on this flier, I’ll be participating in this show. I’ll have a few new pieces that I haven’t posted online yet. It’s been one of my goals for a couple of years now to get into this gallery, so I’m absolutely excited to be showing here. It’s a great gallery, looks like a museum. Just about everyone who shows there has mad skills, so it’s worth checking out even if you can’t make it for this show.
GORE - part ii
Some more bloody thingies. I’ve got to say..painting blood’s fun! Attempting to capture the viscosity of it and the pulpy bits..uhh [/psycho]
Ella Hellbound
Hello Gorillas! Personal work for fun between stuff… This is Ella, and she’s Hellbound. I haven’t drawn a demon girl for ages, and was feeling pangs. The floor is revised from something I did ages ago and hated. I’m not sure about the text so it’ll probably go… Thanks for looking.

City View 2 (wip)
Another test, trying to focus on composition and depth.
Still got a long way to go, but these are a lot of fun to do !!!

2dartist tutorial
Hello everybody!
I was approached by the magazine “2dartist” to fill a sudden gap in their tutorial series.
I had a few evenings on me to finish this tutorial, it ended up quite interesting (or at least that is what I think)
.
“We welcome Björn Hurri to this issue to teach us a thing or two about creating character concept designs from an inside-industry point of view (p.72). Taking the theme of a warrior and a Photoshop paintbrush, he speedily paints for us a character in both an interesting front and back pose – showing us a neat trick of how to quickly get your back pose from the front without too much trouble along the way, too. The importance of Björn’s workshop is all about creating a character that a 3D modeler can easily work from, which is perfect for this series contributed to by professional artists working in the industry”
So, if someone wants to know a good and efficient way to do a model sheet, go ahead and buy a copy of the mag, you wont regret it!
