Something fun part 2
Hello,
I posted a picture from a project I am working on last week and I thought I should share a bit more.
Here are two scenes from it that still work in progress but in a state where you can show it and it will make sence.
Enjoy!

Nice hurri :D Its fun doing this stuff isn’t it ;)
One point of crit would be to check your lines. You got some places where you are creating weird shapes because of them. An example would be the bottom left, where you got a line that goes from 2 pixels, and the next step 3, then 2 and then 3 again. Because of this you suggest a really wobbly shape. Lines in pixelart tend to work alot of better if the entire line is made of segments in the same size, or the segments go up and down in size like 1,2,4,6 for example

Duq,
Thanks for taking the time to give me some feedback but unfortunately I don’t know where you are talking about. Bottom left? on what?
About making the lines not straight was a concious decision I made. I wanted to give pixel art an extra boost and one of the solutions I came to was to have non-straight lines. With that in mind I can create straight lines where I want it to signal a materials characteristics for example.
I see what you are saying though, please point out the areas where you see this and would like to see a change.
It is a work in progress and these were just made as a start to have something to work with.
It is far from being in a final state as I have pretty much just started the experimentations hehe.
There will be more posts like these in the future so feel free to give feedback at any time and I will always take it into consideration.
Cheers
Bjorn.

So cool. Looks like fun and a good exercise to boil your design down to the essentials and use colour really well.. both of which you’ve done nicely.
