New paintings, new(d) book!

It feels like forever since I’ve had a painting update. With all deadlines crashing together, I’ve got a few new ones to share though:

“The Living Dead” for Night Shade Books, 11.5×16, oil on board

“Prey for Mercy” for Science Fiction Book Club, 12×18, oil and liquid acrylic on board

“Blood Pact” for Black Library, 13×18, oil on board

“Justice Riders” for Moonstone Books, oil on board, 12×18

and also…

My new limited edition book of pin-up drawings is fresh from the printers! 200 s/n copies with a sketch inside each one. I’m bringing these with me to San Diego Comic Con in a couple weeks, but you can order one here and get it early!

These are some great pieces! I especially like “The Living Dead”.

Saw these on CA. *Awesome* job. I love that mechanic girl - same character as DS’s “Moon Called” painting right? The other two are so nice and warm :D Great color control. Seems like I don’t see that many zombies that aren’t in a green or purple hue.

  3. Nonie Says:

    Thanks guys :)

Nonie - yes on the Mercy Thompson painting. This is for the book club edition collecting books 1-3 from the series, but Dan is still doing the regular covers. And the zombies, well, I’m particularly a 70s zombie movie fan and those were typically warmer than modern horror.
