Interior Decor…
Some interior paintings from this week
Still needs more clarity but for 30 min paintings…was trying to get a feel of an atmospheric feel. Not quite sure bout the composition bout the second one. Needs alot of things killing/blocked out I reckon….

Love the atmosphere in the first one, it definitely looks like you put more time into it than 30 minutes you speedy bastard.

Hi guys.
Thanks for the feedback.
The images work by alot of duplication, layer blending and chucking down raw complementary colours down initially, followed by a uniform colour pass, lighting, curves, colour balance. you name it. we’ve chucked it in.
So, as a technique, not very elegant.
And certaintly, the composition is not controlled or pre planned or ideal.
On the plus side, this method does allow for some interesting developments within the specified 20 minute time frame. (we do the occasional 20 minute speed paint and stop. maybe add some trimming/photoshop tricks and then call it a day after 30 mins)
The first image - was an exploration of an interior lit decor, I’d love to tackle more of these and perhaps some further 20-30min greyscale/colour studies will improve these further
The second image, was looser and more abstract. And has alot of potential. It isnt by far complete but our stipulated time stays. Often I have a folder full of unfinsihed images, and i hope I can push the 2nd image further to be more interesting rather than its current state, which has too many points to focus on
