Wanted some variety so did a digi workup of a traditional drawing I was previously working on. The drawing is from Michelangelo’s “Dying Captive” and a version of it can be seen here.

once again nothin fantastic, but i realized i hadn’t been keeping up on my local cafe gestures, so last night i took a little break and sketched a few unsuspecting victims :) i got tired of my drawing style and decided to make only vertical or horizontal strokes on a few…i don’t know if it is really that evident, but it was a fun little restriction. i made em all a seperate file here just because they looked a little odd having multiple heads randomly on a sketch page, and also you can click for a bigger version…if you so want :) and self portrait of myself in the lonely window….: sigh :

So, I’m drawing this mermaid character at Sunday Night Sketchgroup(TM), and I realized…it’s basically a female Abe Sapien…oh well, nothing new under the sea…but it was fun to draw anyway :)

while i’m scanning some other stuff, here is a study i did of a buddy last night. i actually hadnt touched gouache for well over a year and a half now, been trying to get a grip on oils, this isn’t that pretty but i dont think i’m going to have much to post for awhile due to some other work i need to finish up!
